ECO-DESIGN STRATEGY

To reduce the environmental impact of your products throughout their value chains, (RE)SET supports you: from material selection to adapting your manufacturing processes! An approach designed to combine environmental, technical, and economic considerations to enhance your product performance.

CONTEXT

CONTEXT

Decarbonizing your activities and limiting your impact on resources requires rethinking your product design!

Indeed, 90% of biodiversity loss and nearly 50% of greenhouse gas emissions are now linked to the extraction and processing of primary raw materials needed for the production of our goods and services.

Given this reality, regulations are accelerating at the national, European, and international levels to promote more sustainable products (Eco-design Directive, environmental labeling, phase-out of single-use plastics by 2040...). Pressure from consumers and citizens is also intensifying, with ever-increasing expectations regarding the origin, quality, and impact of products placed on the market.

This offering therefore aims to:
– Rethink your products to limit their environmental impact
– Meet regulatory requirements
– Reposition you in a new competitive landscape
– Capitalize on the economic opportunities linked to eco-design
– Engage your teams and your key stakeholders in this approach.

OUR GOAL

(RE)SET supports you in rethinking your products and their value chains to limit their environmental impact while enhancing their appeal!

A 4-STEP SUPPORT PROCESS

Initial recommendations

PRIORITIZE ISSUES AND DEFINE AN ACTIONABLE ECO-DESIGN STRATEGY

Identification of the main focus areas for your eco-design strategy (based on multiple criteria: impact, feasibility, regulations, etc.). Examples: recyclability, product durability, etc.

For each focus area, definition and prioritization of eco-design sub-themes through interactive workshops with key stakeholders (internal and external). Examples: material composition, elimination of recycling disruptors, sustainable manufacturing processes, etc.

Definition of actions associated with each sub-theme with a starting baseline and quantified, measurable objectives over time to ensure monitoring. Example: x% of mono-material products by 2030.

TRAIN AND MOBILIZE TEAMS TO IMPLEMENT THIS STRATEGY

Training all teams on the key concepts of eco-design and the associated challenges.

Training on more specific topics tailored to different roles, aligned with the defined strategy and desired objectives.

Cascading the eco-design strategy across different teams and functions to concretely identify their roles and expectations for achieving the defined objectives and KPIs.

DEPLOY THE STRATEGY AND MEASURE PROGRESS

Implementation of the action plan (e.g., updating specifications, new suppliers, etc.)

Implementation of progress tracking tools and regular milestone reviews to ensure action follow-up.
