INNOVATE COLLECTIVELY TO DEMOCRATIZE BULK IN PHARMACIES
A consortium of 8 brands, supported by (RE)SET, to experiment with refill in pharmacies using a multi-brand unit for dermo-cosmetic products and shared reusable bottles. The project is mainly funded by CITEO but also supported by Adelphe and Léko.
A CONSORTIUM TO ADDRESS 3 MAJOR CHALLENGES:
ENVIRONMENTAL : REDUCTION
OF PLASTIC WASTE
REGULATORY : FOR
LABORATORIES & PHARMACIES
COMMERCIAL : MEETING
CONSUMER EXPECTATIONS
53,000 T of plastic packaging are placed on the market by the cosmetics sector each year, with a reuse potential estimated at 15-20% by ADEME.
20% of the sales area of stores larger than 400 m² must be dedicated to products without primary packaging by 2030 (Climate and Resilience Law). Reuse must enable a 10% reduction in tonnage of single-use plastic packaging by 2025 (AGEC Law).
50% of consumers are ready to buy their hygiene products in bulk but 30% give up because they cannot find their usual products there.
