In this webinar, (RE)SET experts Géraldine Poivert and Frank Gana will address all the essential points regarding responsible packaging. They will discuss the circular economy and alternatives to plastic. An industrialist will testify and share their feedback.
Convinced that only taking action matters in the face of global warming and resource management challenges, Géraldine Poivert and Frank Gana founded the company (RE)SET in 2019.
Presentation of (RE)SET
Its vision? Tomorrow, there will be only one kind of growth. Green growth. Its engine? The Circular Economy.
Its mission? Moving from reason for being to reason for acting. Accelerating the ecological transition of public and private actors and investors, and supporting them in a voluntary and virtuous green growth.
Its approach? Systemic. (RE)SET creates and runs consortia, supports professional federations, and mobilizes all stakeholders. Because the circular transformation of a sector requires mobilizing all value chain actors.
The experts:
Géraldine Poivert – President and Co-founder of (RE)SET
In early 2019, Géraldine Poivert created (RE)SET, a company dedicated to the circular economy and environmental transition. Today, she supports public and private actors as well as investors. Géraldine holds a degree in Political Science.
In 2000, she was appointed Director of Economic, Public, and Legal Affairs at the Federation of Commerce and Distribution Companies (FCD). For 7 years, she led major reforms in the sector.
In 2006, she became General Director of Ecofolio, the eco-organization in charge of paper recycling. Convinced that success will be collective or not at all, she developed a policy of consultation and mobilization with all stakeholders in the "paper loop."
In 2016, she initiated a merger between Ecofolio and Eco-Emballages, the eco-organization in charge of household packaging. She strengthened the economic and environmental efficiency of both sectors, reorganized the French industrial sorting and collection system, and launched a plastics and materials strategy for mass consumption.
In 2017, she was appointed Deputy CEO of CITEO, the merged Ecofolio/Eco-Emballages entity, in charge of operations. She launched an ambitious policy for sorting center reform and research on tomorrow's materials.
Géraldine has 20 years of experience in the circular economy and knows all its public, economic, and industrial challenges: Extended Producer Responsibility, eco-design, financing issues, new standards, management and transition challenges, etc.
Her conviction? Cooperation and collective action are the only ways to achieve major transformations. Faced with the urgency of climate change, it is more crucial than ever to align stakeholder interests and make them cooperate effectively to build sustainable and virtuous growth.
Frank Gana – CEO and Co-founder of (RE)SET
Frank Gana is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure. Ten years ago, Frank became involved in the circular economy to reconcile his three passions: the environment, technology, and innovation.
Between 2011 and 2019, Frank was Operations Director at Ecofolio, then Chief Digital Officer at CITEO. He accelerated the development of these recycling sectors by adapting tech world processes and culture. Frank launched the "Circular Challenge," one of the first startup challenges dedicated to the circular economy in Europe.
Frank also has a background in the Tech sector, as an investor (venture capital) and then as an entrepreneur (storage optimization/virtualization software, Adtech…).
In 2019, Frank created (RE)SET, convinced that the best way to accelerate the environmental transition is to enable economic actors to combine economic performance and environmental virtue.
His conviction? The circular transformation is as major as the digital one. Those who take the lead in the pack will have a great chance of becoming tomorrow's champions.
