ACCELERATE YOUR BIODIVERSITY PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION STRATEGY

CONTEXT

WHY ACT NOW?

75% of terrestrial environments and 40% of marine ecosystems are severely degraded. 68% of the vertebrate population has disappeared between 1970 and 2016. This is the alarming observation shared by international experts today. Biodiversity, essential for human life, is threatened by our activities. We are now witnessing a sixth mass extinction, the first since the extinction of the dinosaurs!

TO ADDRESS THESE CHALLENGES

As a general awareness on this issue is emerging, regulations (both European and French) are becoming more structured and accelerating to compel companies to take concrete action to reduce their impacts on ecosystems.

(RE)SET therefore proposes to support economic actors through two offerings: measuring the biodiversity footprint and assessing the impact of biodiversity loss on companies (resource diagnosis).

A 4-STEP SUPPORT PROCESS

TRAIN AND RAISE AWARENESS ON BIODIVERSITY ISSUES

Since the topic of biodiversity is still relatively unaddressed in companies, we believe training and raising employee awareness is essential. Therefore, we offer 3 training modules: biodiversity challenges, French & European regulatory developments including reporting requirements (CSRD), and finally, training on the footprint measurement tool: the GBS. This last module will notably prepare teams for data collection, which is essential for the successful execution of the study.

UNDERSTAND THE IMPACTS OF YOUR SECTOR AND ITS INITIATIVES

Macro-analysis of your sector's impact on biodiversity and inventory of sector-specific best practices.

MEASURE YOUR IMPACT ON BIODIVERSITY

Measuring your company's biodiversity footprint using the tool developed by CDC Biodiversité: the GBS (Global Biodiversity Score).

ACT AND DEFINE YOUR TRAJECTORY

Development of a biodiversity action plan based on both the sectoral analysis and your footprint measurement. This final step aims to define a trajectory by setting clear objectives.
